We are new to the Redding, CA area. Our son n family used to live here. They told us about Poppies. And are we super glad they did! The Pizza is delicious and 1 salad will feed 2 big appitites! Portions are excellent! AND they offer coupons, great food and a savings, not the norm these days. If you go to Poppies and don't thoroughly enjoy yourself, I would be shocked! If your looking to have a side of crystal with your pizza, this is the right for you they bring the lake blvd experience right to your table with the team bringing you the pizza in the red eye fashion, god forbid you get your order on time or not burnt i didn't know when they said maui zowe they meant strain not pizza and why is it when I call I ask "hi how are you" they respond with "how high are you" I would be surprised one of them isn't related Walter White don't get it twisted it's good pizza but god I don't want to buy a 8 ball
Pizza tends to fall into two categories for me. Either it is a gourmet assembly of high falutin ingredients like duck sausage and Teleme cheese or it is good old pepperoni and sausage etc. This place falls into the second category. But even in that grouping pizza can run the gamut from tinny tomato sauce and tasteless cheese to very good. This place does it very good. We had delivery with pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms as well as some chicken wings. Often with pizza it comes down to the crust. It needs to be chewy but also crip in the right places. No complaints here. This pizza had everything going for it and makes it a great place to rely on for those nights when you just can't do the cooking and need a little comfort food.
Solid pizza place in Redding. We ordered from here while staying in the area on our way from Ashland back to the Bay Area earlier this week. We ordered two extra large pizzas - chicken pesto and pepperoni mushroom - and both were excellent. They honored the $10 off coupon we found online, and they delivered to our hotel room on time and without any issues. Will order from them again.
This was my first time eating Poppies Pizza. I absolutely loved it!! I ordered the gourmet vegetarian pizza, it was delicious!! I never write reviews, but I enjoyed my pizza so much I had to Next time I will order one of their Indian pizzas
